As a UX designer at Prospective, I spearheaded the design of a user-friendly scholarship platform. Conducting user research, I identified personas to understand unique needs. I optimized information architecture for easy navigation. Through prototyping and visual design, I transformed ideas into appealing interfaces. After finalizing layouts, my team and I conducted usability testing and engaged in iterative cycles for continuous refinement. Prioritizing accessibility, I implemented features for a diverse user base such as dark mode and filters. Collaborating closely with the design and development team, we delivered a cohesive and engaging app that matches users with scholarships.

Before designing the application, user research was conducted among students, revealing key insights:

  • Students seek a reliable platform for accurate scholarship information.
  • Deadline conflicts with academic schedules result in missed opportunities, emphasizing the need for improved deadline coordination.
  • Students prefer scholarships with specific eligibility criteria for better chances of success and clarity in decision-making.

This user research serves as the foundational step, guiding the application design and building user personas.
